Does anybody know how the girls Regional brackets look? GC won the LPD, with Appy the 2 seed. Castlewwod won the Cumberland, who's the 2 seed there? I am assuming Haysi & Honaker are coming out of the Black Diamond. Which one is the #1 seed & who is the 2 seed. Who has the bye's,etc?
Softball and baseball should be the same. Cumberland #1 and BDD #1 get byes. CD #1 plays the winner of BDD # 2 and LPD #2. BDD #1 plays the winner of CD #2 and LPD #1.
I think that is how it is laid out. The Cumberland District is hosting so their #1 gets the other two #2 seeds in it's half of the bracket.

If that's the case they should, but I thought the regionals were at Twin Springs. But Twin Springs is probably not correct now that I think about it, since the Cumberland hosted last year at Castlewood.
Since there are only three districts in Region D, only two byes are available. These alternate year in and year out. This must happen to be the year the LPD 1 must play a first round game, but LPD 1 will then get first round byes for the next two years before their turn rolls around again.

My daughter plays on GC's softball team and it was her understanding that we got a bye and I think she got this info from the coach.
its the lpd's yr to host and they get a bye.....from my understanding it will be honaker-castlewood in one game with the winner playing gate city and in the other bracket isappalachia-twin springs playing and the winner gets haysi

wednesday castlewood vs. HAYSI/appy at 2....GC vs Honaker/TS after that game
